The Inspiration
The idea for Seth and Avery's story came in an unexpected place: a middle school classroom.
While Laura Conaway was teaching, the school's security officer walked by during his normal rounds and an idea immediately began to form. What if a schoolteacher crossed paths with someone from her past and suddenly needed his protection, but accepting that protection meant confronting painful memories she'd rather leave behind?
